| Comments: | Spent many nights on top of rice checks and made a lot of eagle flights around Tan Tru and alot of River boat insertions in the delta, via the tui tui canal. Seeing your picture of Honey brings back fond memories. Either she/he was still there in 1970 or a pup. I have similar pics around Hootchs and AO. As I arrived Lt Reech (sp) was just kia and the platoon sgt in the same ambush. Can't remember his name. I was an E 5 but not the platoon sgt until about June or July then only for a short time until E6 William Davis arrived. Great guy. We stayed together until the 9th went home in October. Went into Cambodia at Kontum for about 30 days then back to Tan Tru. Then up near the fish hook area until the 9th went home. Would like to here from anybody from that time. Or any other time that was in Tan Tru. Thanks for the great sight. |
